    SURVIVIN BARELY – Cincinnati

    Mon, Sep 14, 2009

    Cincinnati

As we were driving away from Cincinnati, a car with the license plate “SURVIVIN” passed us. Someone blurted it out and then followed by Barely. So now the RV has a new name.

We got to Cincinnati a little later than we wanted (mainly because we decided to empty the black water, which some ended up on Nolan’s feet) but we rolled into the perfect parking spot in the front of Longworth Hall Parking. Thousands of people were tailgating in the back lots and walked past the RV to get to the game: Lots of exposure.

The game was good but the sun beat us down and someone chanting “Defense” and “Offense” for the entire game drove us insane. The last minutes were the best part of the game and it is still unbelievable. Definitely sucks for all those Bengals Fans out there. WHO DEY! was alive and well before and during the game but died down quickly after the game.

Now, we are in the midst of one of the toughest drives of the season; Cincinnati to Foxborough. We all wish we had a driver so we could sleep and be refreshed for the Monday night game.

    1. Yo Hey , thanks for the reply , figured ” The Pitt ” would leave it’s mark somewhere it always does , it’s the RUST….Circuit Breakers are way touchy in Motor Homes especially when you run the AC off the Generator you can usually count the seconds before one trips…..More tips to make the ” Survivin ” perform better , never ever , ever never travel with full water or holding tanks , think about how much weight that is you’re pulling at ” 8 ” pounds per gallon , it’s bad enough loading up with fuel let alone running with loaded water tanks , Hell you might as well throw an anchor out besides watching your temperature gage spike , always keep just enough to flush a few times & keep a few gallons of the pretty blue water in the black tank & and keep the hot water tank full , keep in mind all the Welcome Centers usually have dump sites & fresh water when needed….Oh yeah another good tip if you don’t one yet next fuel stop (flying J) pick up a Tire Knocker (i swear that’s the name) basically a Wooden Club for checking if you have air in your inside rear wheel before you take off driving , you can’t tell if it’s flat because it’s inside & always looks full , you see truckers beating their tires all the time , they have some outrageous looking clubs , besides they make an impressive “Weapon” , seriously I lost count of the burned out trailers & motor homes I’ve seen because people ran with inside flats & they lit up like a candle , takes 10 seconds if the Club bounces your good to go , quick check until you get ambitious to check with a gage….Sounds like you guys are finding some good spots to take advantage of foot traffic always hang out after the game they have to pass by again and are filled up with their favorite beverage and not in such a hurry….Ok Guys keep the Posts coming inquiring minds want to know…keep your Windshield clean & Stay in your lane….Have Fun …Be Safe

Currently at a Maryland Flying J enjoying the amenities. Thanks for that tip, by the way. Also got the Tire Knocker and we are about to bead down for the evening. Not too bad of a day.

Nate, sure you won’t remember us, Tom Hellyer’s brother and sister-in-law. Last time we saw you was when you super-glued a black moustache to your face at Tom’s and “slightly” caught on fire while Ninja kicking the campfire! God Bless you and Aaron, and Nolan for this endeavor! Stay safe, be careful, hope to see you soon!

I would love to learn more about this Ninja kicking brother of mine… haha sounds like a great story!
