I’m getting bit by bugs the size of Florida

The good news is we are leaving Florida because I am getting bit by every kind of bug possible in this state. Its hotter then the devil’s pantry here, I barely step outside and immediately thought I just got out of the shower. Humidity is ridiculous, I would rather live in 120 degree while sleeping in a sauna then live with 95% humidity. The people are nice though, most people I should say. Can’t wait to hit up the beach were shark attacks are constant, grreaatt. Gainesville was nuts on Saturday, crazy fans. The living Jesus, Tim Tebow, wasn’t so divine that day because Monte Kiffin did is homework and shut him down every possible way. Kiffin, a successful Defensive Coordinator for the Tampa Bay Bucs who pioneered the Tampa Cover 2 scheme, had his players ready for the explosive Gator offense. Even though the Vols lost, they still won because the spread was 30 and the Gators got nowhere close to that. Tennessee will be good in a few years once they start getting recruits because the coaches are some of the best in the SEC and college football.
On Sunday, we were in Jacksonville for the Jags-Cards game. The war birds won, starting their Super Bowl run because they got robbed last year in the big game; yes I still think Santanio Holmes’ second foot wasn’t down but that’s just one man’s opinion. The Jaguars hooked us up with field passes, which was awesome. Hopefully we will get more field passes in the future. We saw all the pregame warm ups, the fly over, National Anthem, and kick-off. I told Coach (Whisenhunt) “good luck, get ‘em” as he walked by, he smiled and said thanks. Kurt Warner looked like an MVP of his old days this past Sunday completing 92% of his passes going 24 for 26 with 2 touchdowns. I am guessing his passer rating was damn near the perfect mark of 158.3. Our defense played extremely well sacking Garrard, causing a few fumbles and blocking a field goal and taking it to the house. However, it got a little scary towards the end because the Jags were on the verge of coming back but Nate Hughes, receiver for the Jags, drop 2 touchdown passes (he was let go the next day). I guess that’s what happens when you drop a pass off your helmet wide open for a touchdown.
Last night was the Monday night game in Miami. We tailgated pretty hard, probably drank 100 beers a piece, playing a few games of beer pong and flip cup; man tailgating life is hard on the body. I have no idea how I am going to run half a marathon, I probably will have to walk it. It was a good game for both teams, not so good for my fantasy team as I got beat by Ronnie Brown who commanded that offense last night running all over the Colts defense. I do not know how the Colts won that game getting about 30 less plays and about 15 minutes less time then the Dolphins, but they did which is surprising, thats why Peyton is the best quarterback in the league; pretty sure he’s a robot.
Going back to Texas this weekend. We will be in Dallas on Thursday through Monday, going to Houston on Sunday just for the game. We will be in Dallas for a few days because of a wedding that my brother is attending, while I will be catching up with old friends. My beard is getting real haggard it’s probably time to shave it because its not helping my cause, I think people think I am part of the al-Qaida or a bum…Bear Down! – AT

Interesting reading Aaron! Some good insights on the game, Florida humidity and bugs, and the tailgating. Maybe slow down on the beer and increase your water intake when it’s hot and humid? Take care and see you in South Bend.
And you thought there would be no BUGS left by the time you got there because you nailed all of them with your windshield…SURPRISE….they never mention in any of the travel brochures that Florida’s National Bird is the ” MOSQUITO ” they also never tell you Florida’s main product is producing ” MASSIVE BUGS ” word to the wise don’t breathe more then you have to the entire state is ” TOXIC ” the national past time is SPRAYING FOR BUGS….remember 1 ingredient ” DEET “
